Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop ~ Swirly Bird Bundle

Hi everyone! You are currently visiting Carolynn Sander's blog. I am a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. May is here, spring has finally sprung, & summer is just around the corner! Can I say Boo Yah!!! I have been waiting for the sun to shine & today it is shining! What better way to celebrate this day than with another round of blog hopping with the Be Inspired Design Team! This week we are sharing projects made with our favourite colour(s)! So please sit back, relax, and enjoy! There are so many fun fab colours in the Stampin' Up! colour line! No matter what colour one chooses, it will be sure to make for a stunning project! If you have been hopping along, you would have just arrived via Maike Ulbrich's blog. Maike is from Germany and she is super talented! Were you not just in love with her project this week? Make sure to click on the next button at the end of this post so that you can oogle over the rest of this week's colourful projects! The rainbow of talent will be sure to wow you!

Well can you guess what my favourite colour is? You got it! It's pink! I am actually kinda worried that this week's hop will be full of anything and everything pink! I'm pretty sure that a couple of my team members in today's hop will be showing off some pretty n' pink hues! I won't name names, but you will probably be able to figure them out!

Ever since I was a young child my favourite colour has been pink. Have I grown to love other colours? Well of course! I am a believer that we are drawn to different colours at different times in our lives, based on what we need in our lives during that stage of growth. To me colours aren't just colours. They have true meanings behind them. For example, "The colour pink is the colour of universal love of oneself and of others. Pink represents friendship, affection, harmony, inner peace, and approachability." The meaning behind this quote truly hits home with me. I have always been one to give unconditional love and respect to others. Saying that, in the past I have often forgotten to include myself in this category of love. I have always been rather hard on myself, holding the highest of expectations for myself, expectations that sometimes weren't always within my own reach, as the expectations I had were virtually insurmountable. It has only been in the past year or so, that I have begun to shift my focus towards loving myself. It may not always be easy, but I have come some way. I no longer beat myself up over what I "should have done", or "should have said". I am learning that in every moment in life I need to trust myself & just be me, & that in the end that is enough, as I am as beautiful as the beauty I see in others. I still have more to learn on this loving path. In the end how can we truly love others, if we cannot love ourselves? Today I have to say, give yourself a pat on the back, forgive yourself, let go, and celebrate your beauty. Love yourself!

With that being said, how about you say we see what other colours are in the showcase today? Kim Van Diepen is next in the line up! I actually can't wait to see what her fave colour is! She tends to use brighter colours on her blog from what I can recall. Click on the next button below to see what she is going to wow us with next!
